8/24/2023 0 Comments Parque aquatico cape cod![]() We went there thinking there they would know better about the availability of the chairs and they sold us two chairs, but instead of telling us where the chairs are, they told us to show the receipt for the chairs to one of the people dresses in orange (the vigilantes) because they knew what to do. They couldn't say for sure, so they told us to go to another shop downstairs. We wanted to buy to chairs and an umbrella at the shop near the entrance and asked if there were still chairs available. They were selling chairs without even knowing if there were still chairs available. ![]() Overall, we were grateful for the experience, it gave us a much needed break from the 103 F heatwave and gave my 8 year old an activity to burn off her energy. They do have a small elevator, but it's for people who "need" it and request it. Choose wisely with where you setup because after 30 flights of stairs throughout the day I was done. We setup at the upper portion and after walking down 5 flights of stairs we found the rest of the park. There are 2 distinct portions of the park, an upper and lower. I grossly underestimated the size of the park and moreso, the terrain. And the lack of shade for those lines is pretty brutal, and you can't wear sunglasses on the rides. The hard part is that the lines are all scrambled, so its hard to figure out where to stand for which ride until you do it once. Depending on the ride, some fly by in a few minutes like the multi lane slides, but the single person rides took us about 30 min-1 hour. Like most amusement parks, there are long lines. I asked a mom who clearly knew what she was doing and she gave me a 2 minute run down on what to do and her sense of urgency to get myself situated asap wasn't lost on me cause it is all a first come first serve basis and umbrellas, lockers/locks and spots to lay down do run out.every nook and cranny gets filled up with people's setups. Directional signs are lacking as far as where to get umbrellas, locks, chairs, wave pool times. Bring your own small lock to use on the lockers, or rent one for 8 euros and you get 5 back on return of the lock (at upper portion of the park). Send me a note if you have any questions.Pre-purchase your tickets to make sure you get in and have a quicker line for entry into the park. The cool thing - they give you a decent one for less than $1.50 They do require purchasing a skull-cover when in the pool. I saw a volleyball court and picnic areas beyond the "adult pool", along with one thrill-slide that was open toward the end of the dayĬost is about $13 per person. While none of the employees go out of their way to be nice, they don't really get in your way, and they are attentive. ![]() Very little in the way of umbrellas, but you can get shade outside the pools under the trees, and there are some spots in the pools that are shaded Plenty of inexpensive plastic seating around. Dogs are not permitted except in this kennel area (except to walk them in and out) The man locks the cage, so you know your dogs are secure. It was hot, so I don't think they would have played anyway, but it was small. They have a kennel in the shade, tile floor, with plenty of water. To the right after entering, there is a lazy river, a beaver with a big bucket that spills every 5 minutes, and splash-zone type pools Looking from outside at the entrance where you pay, to the left are the better pools - furthest is a regular pool (pretty much an adult pool), then there are 2 pools with slides that start inside the big animal. BTW - it's the stretch version, so another kid can ride in the back So - when you arrive, grab a bike for your kid. I thought she was being wacky, until I noticed 2 other kids doing the same thing. My daughter loved it, drove it to each of the pools (there are about 6 pools) - and wanted to make sure the bike was there when we got out of the pool. The good - there is a dozen little tricycles at the entrance, on the path to the right. My daughter ate the hot dog - seemed to be the best of all options The sandwich is 1 thin slice of ham, 1 thin slice of cheese, mostly bread. The cheeseburger is something you don't want to put in your mouth - there is a reason why it is cheap. ![]() We went on Sunday, when Festival of Flowers is happening in Medellin (by plan) - the place was not crowded at all, which definitely made it a better experience.
